Why am I running?

I have always been a dedicated public servant, who had the incredible honor of serving you as your Lane County commissioner for 20 yeas. As public servants it is our responsibility to retain high-quality faculty, led by inspired administrators, while still keeping tuitions affordable. If elected, I promise to protect and enhance the potential of all Lane Community College students, through expanded education opportunities, in consort with leading Lane County industries, especially in science, technology, and manufacturing. I favor expanding curricula that advances entrepreneurial endeavors and creates the small businesses that are essential to a thriving economy.

I will always prioritize the values of diversity, equity and inclusion.

I will always protect the rights of historically marginalized students. 

I always support the free speech rights of every student and faculty member. 

The LCC satellite campuses in Florence and Cottage Grove are under utilized. As West Lane representative, I will help reach across the county, to add curricula supported by quality educators. Expand the array of educational opportunities for more students, including senior citizens
